Strict government regulations have helped preserve its rich natural environment and traditional ways of life. However, these same restrictions can also limit local economic opportunities. To help balance environmental and cultural preservation with economic development, Taiwanese nonprofit organization CPDP supports sustainable regional development through coffee production while respecting Srima’s unique character.

Alan from CPDP met coffee producers Joe and Mild at a coffee symposium held at a university in Chiang Rai. These conditions allow the coffee cherries to mature slowly, developing greater sweetness. This lot underwent 24 hours of dry fermentation, followed by 48 hours of wet fermentation with floral steam distillation. The result is an elegant cup with an intense floral aroma of rose, accompanied by sweet, lingering notes of hibiscus and lychee.
