Honduras - El Jazmin

Nancy Hernandez started her journey as a coffee farmer since she was a young girl, helping her father in the fields. Historically, women were denied of their rights to inherit farmland, but that did not discourage her from staying in the coffee industry. She continued to pursue her passion by joining a coffee producer’s cooperative, educating herself on farming techniques, processing methods, quality control, and much more. With the changes in societal norms in the recent years, she now runs her own farm and a café, and continues to give back to her community through creating employment opportunities, especially for the youth. This specific lot of coffee was hand picked by women and has tropical notes of mango, spicy like rum, and sweet like raisins.
